reCharkha's Upcycled Handcrafted Urban Tote is a spacious work tote with a padded laptop compartment designed to fit laptops up to 14 inches. Its 6–8 kg capacity provides room for everyday work essentials, while multiple internal pockets help keep smaller items organized. Comfortable 26-inch handles make it suitable for carrying to the office, meetings, college or while commuting.

The Urban Tote combines a dedicated padded laptop compartment with separate spaces for everyday essentials. A zipper pocket, two open pockets and a key holder help keep chargers, stationery, personal belongings and other small items organized.

Made from Upcycled Waste Plastic

The outer material is made from upcycled Waste Plastic Bags and Wrappers, transformed into a functional work tote through reCharkha's handcrafted process.

Each Urban Tote upcycles approximately 40–45 Plastic Bags and Wrappers and generates approximately 2–3 days of livelihood for Rural Women and Artisans.

Each Urban Tote is handcrafted by Rural Women and Artisans. Variations in color, pattern and finish may occur because of the recovered material and handmade process. No two are exactly alike.

We offer free repair services for reCharkha products. At the end of a product's usable life, you can bring your reCharkha product back to us and we will ensure it is responsibly upcycled or disposed of.

This product is handcrafted using upcycled Plastic material. Slight variations or irregularities in color, pattern and finish are a natural result of the recovered material and handmade process. The actual product may also vary slightly in shade from the product image due to photography and screen settings.

Hi Amita. This is Heena here from Bangalore I was in a need of a sling bag. I was on lookout for it on various Ecommerce sites but for some reason I was not liking them. On one fine day I was just scrolling through Facebook and I came across Anuj's video on upcycling of plastic into bags. I watched the video. I immediately headed to Instagram to check out the patterns & colours of the bags. I couldn't resist for a moment . I went a head, selected the sling bag and placed the order. I have finally received . I'm soooooo satisfied with the product Amita. It's soo spacious. And it was packed so well. I'm sooo overwhelmed Amita. How can I place an order of reCharkha EcoSocial's UPCYCLED-HANDWOVEN product(s)?

You can order easily using our online platform. Click on www.recharkha.org and go to the menu “Shop Online”. Browse through our categories and products. When you find a product you need, you can click on “Add to Cart” button. You can repeat this to add other products you require to the “Cart” and click on the “Checkout” button. Then you go through the ordering process with great ease. After your order is placed, we will send an email to you, with your Order Summary. If you create an account, your Order Summary will be saved in it.

Can I cancel my order?

You cannot cancel the order online.

If we have not shipped the order already, our team will help you select an alternate items as per your choice and update the order.

If we have already shipped the order, you can return the items to our Office Address, ONLY if they are unused and sent it in the exact condition they were delivered to you. We will then issue you a Voucher, in exchange, which you can use at later date till the validity of the voucher.
